Testing

The MCP connector dialog is a bit hidden right now.

In the ChatGPT web app:

1. Click your profile/avatar in the bottom-left

2. Open Settings

3. Go to Apps or Apps & Connectors (the naming changed recently)

4. Open Advanced settings

5. Turn on Developer mode

6. Go back to the Apps/Connectors screen

7. You should now see:

   • Create

   • Add custom connector

   • or a + New connector button

That’s where you paste your Simplero MCP server URL.

A few important gotchas:

• Custom MCP connectors currently require a paid plan (Plus/Pro/Business/Enterprise depending on rollout).

• The setup must usually be done in the web browser version first, not mobile.

• If you don’t see the connector UI:

  • refresh the page after enabling Developer mode

  • try Chrome/Safari desktop

  • check whether your workspace admin disabled connectors

  • the feature may still be rolling out in your region/account
